A 3D model of China's supercomputer Tianhe-3 made its debut at the fourth World Intelligence Congress, which was held online in Tianjin Municipality.

Beijing on July 8 started building a support platform for scientific research. The platform, located in Huairou District of Beijing, will provide support for scientific research and experimental technology training, public academics, sci-tech service, as well as operation and maintenance, for a national science center in Huairou. The construction of the facility will be completed in 30 months.
The platform will satisfy the demands of interdisciplinary research and experimentation, and would be available for basic research by providing auxiliary experimental facilities and equipment. The experiment area for general scientific research instruments and facilities on the platform will serve material science, information intelligence science and bioscience. Laboratories for micro-nano analysis and processing, physical structure analysis and biological analysis have also been planned.
7月8日，北京启动科研支撑保障平台项目建设。平台位于北京市怀柔区，将为怀柔国家科学中心提供科研支撑、实验技术培训、公共学术保障、科技服务保障、运营维护等服务。平台建设周期为30个月。
该平台既可满足跨学科的科研和实验需求，也可提供适用于基础科研用途的辅助性实验设施设备。平台内的通用科研仪器与设施实验区将为物质科学、信息智能科学、生命科学等领域提供配套服务。该项目还计划建设微纳分析实验室、物性结构分析实验室和生物分析实验室。

The Ministry of Science and Technology released an application guide on July 6 to solicit at most 37 international anti-COVID-19 cooperation projects focusing on drugs, vaccines, test kits, and traditional Chinese medicine.
The aim is to strengthen research cooperation with virus-ravaged countries and related international organizations via innovative cooperation in international science and technology, and to share research data and experience in combating the pandemic.
Solicited projects include global multi-center clinical trials of drugs and vaccines, cooperative development of new testing technologies, and on-site quick testing equipment, as well as international research on the mechanisms of TCM in the COVID-19 treatment.
科技部7月6日发布应对新冠肺炎疫情国际合作项目申报指南，拟围绕药物、疫苗、检测试剂、中医药等4个方面征集最多37个合作项目。
此项部署旨在通过国际科技创新合作，加强同疫情高发国家以及有关国际组织的科研合作，共享疫情防控方面的科研数据和经验。
拟征集项目包括药物和疫苗的国际多中心临床实验、新检测技术合作研发、现场快速检测设备研制、针对中药治疗新冠肺炎的作用机理机制开展国际研究等。
